MWP co-sponsored the Reception held in relation to the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition, organised by the British and the USA Embassies in Baku, Azerbaijan
MWP is pleased to announce that it co-sponsored the Reception held in connection with the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition organised by the British and the USA Embassies in Baku, Azerbaijan on 1 June 2016.
A wide variety of Government officials, business leaders, as well as investors from a number of different countries attended the Reception. Assel Kulisheva had the honour to represent MWP at this important event.
The Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition is the only international oil and gas trade event in Azerbaijan and the Caspian region, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR. The event was also attended by the following key players: BP, Total, Impex, Noble Oil Exploration & Production, Caspian Geophysical, Schlumberger and many others.
The main topics addressed during the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition included:
• the investment potential of Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector;
• plans for further development: Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli, Shah Deniz 1 and 2, Umid and Bulla Deniz;
• optimising and increasing the efficiency of work at existing fields and production activity at prospective fields;
• international experience in monitoring and controlling environmental risks, and reacting to emergencies, such as oil spills; and
• an overview of the petro-chemical and oil refining industries in Azerbaijan and their development.
