Nations Energy Co. is a private Canadian oil and gas company that had an operating subsidiary, Karazhanbasmunai JSC, in Kazakhstan. Karazhanbasmunai holds 100% of mineral rights to develop Karazhanbas oil and gas field in Mangistau Oblast until 2020.
The deal on Nations Energy sale was closed on the brink of 2007 Nations Energy with CITIC Group, one of the largest diversified investment groups in China, for US$ 1.9 billion.
MWP also assisted Nations Energy and Karazhanbasmunai to successfully resolve its litigation against Savicic and Poly Oil’s title claims.
