Michael Wilson & Partners, Ltd. advises Marubeni Corporation and Tokyo Electric Power Company on the acquisition of participatory interests in uranium mines in the Republic of Kazakhstan
Michael Wilson & Partners, Ltd. (MWP) has acted for Marubeni Corporation and TEPCO in their major acquisition of an indirect participatory interest in the Kharassan-1 and Kharassan-2 uranium deposits in Kazakhstan, through investment in companies owned by NAC JSC Kazatomprom. The deal was closed in early 2007.
MWP also advised Marubeni Corporation on the contracts for export of the uranium to be produced from the Kharassan-1 and Kharassan-2 uranium deposits.
