Michael Wilson & Partners, Ltd. is pleased to announce several new appointments to its expanding legal practice in Kazakhstan and the Caucasus.
Michael Dark, OBE joins as Partner from Abu Dhabi where he spent the last three years serving as Senior Legal Consultant for two of the UAE’s leading law firms serving the Arabian Gulf Area. Prior to this, he gained experience heading up the Eastern European legal practice of the one of the Big 4 auditors, as well as an international law firm after having relocated from Saudi Arabia where he worked for Clifford Chance from 1986 and served as honorary legal advisor to H.M. Ambassador from 1992-1998.
Holding a B.A. and M.A in Jurisprudence from Christ Church, Oxford, Michael was called to the Bar in 1972 and was admitted as Solicitor in 1980 and to the Czech Republic Bar as a foreign lawyer in 2001. He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and in 1994, was awarded OBE for services to the business community in Saudi Arabia.
Michael brings with him to the Firm extensive corporate experience, specializing in all aspects of the energy & petrochemical industries, joint ventures, banking and finance arrangements & privatisation.
Marko Radosavljevic joins as Lawyer in the Almaty practice after having spent the last two years practicing law within the CIS, specifically Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikstan. After a successful tenure as an Associate Justice in one of Belgrade’s courts in different civil law cases, he acted as legal advisor to various organisations from Serbia, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania and Macedonia on the issues of immanent to transitional economies.
Marko holds a LLB from Belgrade University, Serbia & Montenegro and was called to the Bar by the Serbian Ministry of Justice in 2004. He is a master of languages, fluent in seven including his native Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, as well as English, German, Bulgarian and Russian. He specializes in litigation, commercial and international law, conflict analysis and mediation.
