Michael Wilson & Partners, Ltd. Moves Offices to Support Continued Expansion of Practice
Maintaining its position as the largest independent law firm in Kazakhstan and the Caucasus, Michael Wilson & Partners, Ltd. (MWP) is pleased to welcome three new lawyers to its expanding legal practice. Alida Tuyebekova joins MWP after spending more than two years on the LG Electronics corporate legal team. There she was responsible for drafting a variety of contracts and filing the re-registration of the company as a joint stock company in 2005. Alida also played a role in the design and development of LG’s insurance claims register system and counselled on export and import contracts. Prior to gaining her experience at LG, she was a legal assistant and paralegal at two international law firms based in Almaty. Alida holds an LLM in International Trade and Commercial Law from Durham University’s School of Law and degrees from Kazakh State Law University and Kazakh State University of World Languages and International Relations.
MWP welcomes Azamat Chinetov, a Top 10 Law Graduate specialist from Kyrgyz National University and lawyer with Bishkek-based Kalikova & Associates. During his years there, he advised on legal matters on corporate and mining legislation issues, including subsoil use rights and environmental aspects. In addition, Azamat conducted due diligence reports and consulted clients on Kyrgyz legislation associated with the procedure for listing on stock exchanges in the U.K., Australia and Canada.
Aigerim E. Kurmanbayeva joins Michael Wilson & Partners after spending one year abroad studying international trade and commercial law at Durham University’s School of Law. During her studies, she gained valuable experience as a trainee and sharpened her skills in corporate, commercial, financial and labour law.
As the firm has expanded its personnel, so has it expanded its offices by moving into the Nurly Tau Business Center, conveniently located across from the Almaty Financial Center on Al-Farabi.
