US$28 million Loan Facility for KaR-Tel LLP
MWP in team with Messrs Linklaters advised Citibank N.V. as arranger and Citibank International plc as agent and lender for a repeat US$28.6M ECGD loan facility for KaR-Tel LLP, which was guaranteed by its parent company, VympelCom OJSC.
KaR-Tel LLP is one of the two leading mobile operators in Kazakhstan.
The facility agreement was signed on 19 June 2007. This is a second facility provided by Citibank International plc. The first one of US$ 30M was provided in September 2005. Linklaters acted as an international advisor and MWP as Kazakhstan legal counsel of Citi Group.
