Aygun Abbasova
Aygun joined MWP in 2012. As a part of MWP team, Aygun has gained and enhanced her professional experience in various areas of law. Aygun is qualified to practice law in Azerbaijan and her main areas of practice include general corporate law, mergers & acquisition, tax, labour and banking law, capital markets, Intellectual Property rights, competition, oil and gas law, as well as in regulatory and compliance matters.
Prior to joining MWP, Aygun worked in the Global Business Service Translation Center for over five years and the DIALAB LRS Medical Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan. Aygun was responsible for customer relations management issues, drafted various types of contract, verified translations and performed the duties of a corporate administrator.
Aygun obtained her LLB degree from Odlar Yurdu University in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her professional development includes WIPO specialized course on “Patent Cooperation Treaty”, WIPO specialized course on Madrid System for the International Registration of Mark”, Course on “The right to property under the European Convention on Human Rights”, Course on Article 6 (Right to fair trial Course the European Convention on Human Rights”, Course on “Protection of Property” from the American Bar Association, Course “Right to a Fair Trial” from the American Bar Association.
Aygun is a native Azerbaijani, Russian speaker and is fluent in English and Turkish.
